Transforming a 40ft Shipping Container into an Adaptable and Efficient Workspace

The Build

Each bespoke project is meticulously tailored to meet the specific needs and requirements of our customers. For instance, this 40ft workshop was designed to be both functional and seaworthy. Compliance with CSC regulations prompted adjustments such as the recessed placement of windows, the personnel door, and the outer socket. Our in-house service also extends to CSC plating, certifying, and ensuring compliance and instilling confidence in maritime suitability.

The interior boasts full lining and insulation, ensuring a clean and comfortable year-round working environment. A spacious workbench stretches the container’s length, complemented by multiple overhead lockers, and strategically positioned plug sockets along the walls for convenient access to power. Overhead ceiling lights illuminate the workspace effectively, facilitating day and night operations.

Furthermore, a concertina door at the personnel door end provides the option to create a private workspace with access when needed.
