The Customer
Ipswich Sports Club, known for its range of sporting facilities, including tennis, squash, hockey, and a gym, needed somewhere to serve food in their new outdoor space. Seeking a practical yet innovative solution, they approached Pentalver for a container conversion that would complement their existing amenities.
The Build
Ipswich Sports Club chose a 20ft open sider container for its versatility in container conversions. The interior was designed for both functionality and comfort, featuring ply lining and insulation, with a durable, non-slip vinyl floor. A key feature is the retail serving hatch located at one end, ideal for food service, while the entire side can open to reveal a full-length bar, integrating seamlessly with the outdoor environment of the club.
A designated space was left for the installation of a wood fire pizza oven, complete with checker plate flooring for safety and durability. The unit was also equipped with multiple double sockets and ceiling lights, ensuring a well-lit and functional space for both staff and club members.
The Outcome
The transformation of the 20ft container into a bespoke bar for Ipswich Sports Club was completed with precision and care.
